Family Favorite Guacamole - GF / DF / Vegan




Family Favorite Guacamole


Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe avocados

  • 1 small red onion, finely diced

  • 1 large tomato, diced

  • 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely diced

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp of garlic

  • Salt to taste


Instructions:

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium-sized mixing bowl.

  2. Mash the avocado with a fork until desired consistency is reached. Some prefer it chunky, while others prefer it smoother.

  3. Add the finely diced red onion, diced tomato, finely diced jalapeño pepper, and chopped cilantro to the bowl with the mashed avocado.

  4. Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture.

  5. Sprinkle the ground cumin and garlic over the mixture.

  6. Season with salt to taste.

  7. Gently stir all the ingredients together until well combined.

  8. Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning if needed.

  9. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, as a topping for tacos or burritos, or alongside your favorite Mexican dishes.
